For the Easter holidays, the Gouffre de Padirac has pulled out all the stops.
After the Egg Hunt at 103 metres on Sunday 17 April, the second event of the school holidays will take place on the surface.
To celebrate the return to activity and to liven up the family holidays, the Gouffre de Padirac will be proposing an unusual egg hunt in the centre of the earth.
The Gouffre de Padirac will re-open on Friday 1st April, until 13th November 2022.
The 2021 season at the Gouffre de Padirac ended on 14 November. As it does every year, the Gouffre closes its doors for the winter. Its teams are preparing for the next season and continue to watch over this exceptional site. The Gouffre de Padirac will reopen its doors on 1st April 2022. COMPULSORY HEALTH PASS
In accordance with the latest government directives, the Health Pass is compulsory from the age of 12 and 2 months (from 30 September).Children under 12 years of age are not covered by the Health Pass.
Following the success of its first wine experiment initiated to mark the 130th anniversary of its discovery, the Gouffre de Padirac is creating a second Cuvée des 130 ans on 24 September 2021. 600 bottles and 24 magnums of Probus 2017 will improve at 103 metres underground until the summer of 2022.
From 1 July 2021, the Gouffre de Padirac is offering a new VIP tour formula, including a tasting of its 130th Anniversary Cuvée 103 metres underground.
The Gouffre de Padirac celebrated the 130th anniversary of its discovery in 2019. To mark the occasion, it has teamed up with one of the best winemakers to produce a special cuvée to be aged 103 metres underground.
In view of the situation and the health restrictions in force, the reopening of the Gouffre de Padirac has been postponed to an unspecified date.
Each year, the Gouffre de Padirac recruits up to 130 seasonal workers over various periods, in the fields of reception, sales, catering, and of course as boat guides.
On October 29, 2020, the Gouffre de Padirac had to close its doors prematurely to the public as a result of the health situation.

Before winter closure, the Gouffre de Padirac, celebrating in 2019 the 130th anniversary of its discover, offers a final opportunity to come and enjoy a wonderful visit during these school holidays and the exceptional exhibition «Robert Doisneau at the Gouffre de Padirac» ending with the 2019 season, until November, 3 incl.
For several years now, the Gouffre de Padirac has supported the "Petits Princes" Association, which was set up in 1987 to make dreams come true for children and adolescents who are seriously ill.
On 22 June, part of the takings will be donated to the association.
The exhibition displays a number of photographs of a timeless Gouffre de Padirac: the natural site and its employees, marvelling visitors, as well as pretty regional scenes.
