EDUCATIONAL TOOLS FOR YOU TO USE

Aware of the exceptional value of scientific and geological heritage, and with a wish to democratise and disseminate knowledge, the Gouffre de Padirac provides you with valuable tools.

L'Esprit Sorcier - A POPULAR SCIENCE PROGRAMME

The Gouffre de Padirac offers a new educational facility that will introduce children and adults to the wonders of this extraordinary natural monument (on line and with video), in collaboration with “L’Esprit Sorcier” (a French popular science programme founded by Frédéric Courant, the Fred of "Fred & Jamy”, the duo who presented "C’est pas Sorcier”, a popular science TV series).

EDUCATIONAL SHEETS

In connection with educational programmes, teachers and students can prepare for their visit or take it further thanks to educational sheets that can be downloaded free of charge (French only).

Visiting the Gouffre de Padirac lets school groups approach five subject areas that are of educational interest, and which are set out in the educational sheets based on various class levels ("cycle" 3 (roughly, ages 9 and 10), "cycle" 4 (roughly, ages 11 to 14), and "lycée" (roughly, ages 15 to 18).

A TEAM OF SCIENTIFIC AND CULTURAL MEDIATORS

Our team of mediators is ready to help you add to your visit with tailored scientific content. The mediators can help you set up specific workshops based on the subject areas of your choice.

How fossils are made, how karst is formed, Édouard-Alfred Martel, the great explorers, the water cycle, and more. So many subject areas that they know like the backs of their hands!
